Thanks for this great video. I have been offered admission but the funding decisions will come in May even though I have to accept the offer in April. Can I negotiate my funding before accepting the offer to influence the amount of funding I will get ?

Can I write a recommendation letter for myself?

I have applied to grad school (dental hygiene) 3 times and yesterday I received my third non acceptance letter. I am 39 and I can't keep getting this type of result. I could tell you the whole story of I couldn't go to college when I was younger but ot would be too long. Anyways, I feel desperate and about to quit. Thanks for the video.

Hi Lauren I am interested in computer science grad program , I need your help in making my SOP .

The example you used for the person describe themselves as a Latina scientist would violate most application guidelines since it indicates a woman of color. You also chose PhD statement of purposes for a field that easily has many Noble causes it does not help anyone who is writing an SOP for a field such as economics

Hello Lauren. Thank you very much for your videos. I'm applying for a materials science Ph.D., and my first two recommenders are set - my undergrad thesis supervisor and a research advisor from a government lab (I was a research intern in his lab). Now, I'm torn between asking a geologist (I worked with materials science related instruments in his lab), or an assistant professor to vouch for my academics. I have good relation with both of them, and I'm not sure if a professor or researcher recommendation would better boost my profile. P.S.- My CGPA is above the average.

Hey Lauren! Thank you so much for this video, I'm about to write my GRE tomorrow, and I've been anxious about it for a couple of weeks now. I want to apply for a Masters in Architecture and 3 out of the 2 universities I've shortlisted mention that it is "optional" to submit your score and the other one has waived it off all together. However, I decided to take it anyway. I was hoping if you can tell me a minimum score below which I should consider not submitting it in and it would weaken my application instead.
